Über den Autor/ die Autorin

Douglas MacKevett

Douglas ist Dozent für Wirtschaftsenglisch, professionelles Schreiben und interkulturelles Management am Institut für Kommunikation und Marketing IKM.

When Simon finished university, he could not find anything he was truly interested in until, in a flash of inspiration, he founded the project @ctive Asyl. This association both engages refugees through recycling laptops and organizing computer courses for them. By providing refugees with the right tools, @ctive Asyl helps refugees make a valuable contribution to society.

Simon knew he had found a winning solution where he could take responsibility, learn new skills, and be creative. His message? Trusting your instincts and finding inspiration in meaningful projects with like-minded people allows us to create the change in the world that we want to see.
